With all the hard work and dedication he gives his craft, Cooper also dedicates time in practicing Reiki (pronounced “ray key”), a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. In fact, Cooper is a certified Reiki practitioner.

Reiki is a spiritual practice that uses palm healing or hands-on-healing technique as a form of alternative medicine. It centers on the manipulation of the ki, the Japanese version of the chi. Although spiritual in nature, it is important to note that Reiki is not a religion. The technique is very simple and easy to learn but it is not taught in the usual sense. The hands are used to transfer positive energy or positive vibrations to the recipient of the healing.

In Reiki, it is not really the practitioner who heals the other person. What the practitioner does is to introduce a resonance that is more beneficial to recipient, acting as a catalyst by introducing a more dominant energy that the recipient should or will also match hopefully during the entire session. It has been most beneficial for those who are in physical pain, anxiety, fatigue, and depression.

As a Reiki practitioner, Sean C. Cooper deeply believes in the power of healing energies. Learn more about the other interests and passions of Mr. Cooper here.
